E-reader manufacturers such as Apple, depend on value-added suppliers like E-ink for their screens. In the case of foldable e-books, E-ink just might lead the way. They've engineered a prototype which proves the concept. However, it will take the resources of someone like Amazon, Apple or Barnes & Noble to put it on store shelves. Since the time frame to take a product from concept to market is several years, don't expect to see it anytime soon.
